Pelicans, Saints and Core Element Host STEM Fest

Bring the whole family to get up-close and personal with hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities, live performances, interactive demonstrations plus Pelicans and Saints fun!

STEM Fest with Core Element will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 10AM – 2PM at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center (5800 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA). Cost is $12 per person which includes access to the event plus a ticket to an upcoming Pelicans game during the 2017-18 season.

With the goal of igniting curiosity and interest of K-12 students in STEM, inspire educators with creative STEM learning, promote industry workforce development and increase awareness of STEM career pathways, this inaugural event will feature several hands-on exhibits from organizations such as Chevron, Audubon Nature Institute, Ochsner Health System and more.

Core Element provides kindergarten through 12th grade math and science teachers with the tools and resources they need to deliver hands-on, minds-on learning opportunities in the classroom.
