For the first time this week, the Indiana Pacers headed to halftime in the Orlando Summer League trailing. The Miami Heat took a 46-36 lead over Indiana into the break.
The Pacers grabbed an early lead, thanks in large part to the strong play of rookie forward T.J. Leaf. The 18th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft scored eight points in the first quarter — including a pair of fastbreak dunks — to put the Blue & Gold in front.
But Miami rallied to tie the game at 23 at the end of the first quarter and dominated large stretches of the second period, outscoring the Pacers 23-13 in the frame.
