Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari will celebrate International Children’s Day and the NBA Finals in China from May 31-June 6.
The Nuggets forward will host basketball clinics for underprivileged students, unveil a Jr. NBA basketball court and participate in special events hosted by NBA China’s television and digital partners to celebrate the NBA Finals.
To tip off NBA China’s International Children’s Day celebration, NBA Cares will engage 32 Special Olympics youth athletes at the NBA Playzone in Shanghai on May 31 with a variety of basketball-inspired activities.
On June 1, Gallinari will travel to Zunyi, Guizhou Province for a Jr. NBA basketball court unveiling at Zunyi No. 53 Middle School and host a clinic for the students.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating International Children’s Day and the NBA Finals in China,” said Gallinari. “I enjoy teaching the game to young boys and girls and seeing the excitement that basketball brings them. I know it will be a great trip.”
As part of the celebration, Gallinari will also host NBA Cares basketball clinics for underprivileged students at the Zhuxi Migrant School in Guiyang, Guizhou Province and Huang Zhuang migrant school in Beijing.
In addition to hosting clinics, Gallinari will provide live commentary during the upcoming NBA Finals on Chinese television broadcasting the games.
