Five things to know about the Pelicans on July 12, 2017

1)      As was the case in the league’s pool play last week, New Orleans is playing in the first game of NBA Summer League tournament action today. The 24th-seeded Pelicans play the No. 9 Hawks at 3 p.m. Central on NBA TV.

2)      The winner of Pelicans/Hawks will meet eighth-seeded San Antonio in Thursday’s Round of 16. The loser will wrap up their stay in Las Vegas on Friday, with a consolation game (opponent TBD).
