Five things to know about the Pelicans on July 10, 2017

1)      New Orleans (0-2) wraps up its participation in pool play at NBA Summer League today, facing the Brooklyn Nets at 5 p.m. Central. The game will be broadcast live by ESPNU.

2)      The Pelicans dropped a second straight nail-biter in Vegas yesterday, falling 84-82 to Atlanta.

3)      That defeat all but guaranteed that New Orleans will open tournament play Wednesday in the first round, a day that involves every team seeded 9 through 24 out of the 24-team league. The top eight seeds all receive a bye and advance to Thursday’s Round of 16.

4)      Watch postgame reaction to Pelicans-Hawks with Cheick Diallo (23 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks), Quinn Cook and summer head coach Jamelle McMillan.

5)      Through two games, Diallo ranks fourth in scoring among all Vegas players (25.0 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (10.0 rpg). Cook is 10th in the league in scoring (20.5 ppg).
